To ensure you have the correct size for shelving, measure the amount of rope light needed, granting an extra cushion of a foot or two. This will allow for any potential slack or shifts in measurement.
Slice your rope light to size with a razor-sharp blade or shears to concretely follow your vision.
Remove all wrappings surrounding the light.
Beginning at one side of the shelving unit, thread the light’s cable through the zip ties in succession, continuing in its journey to the other end.
Ensure that the illumination stays tight and firmly bind the zip ties around the metal shelving.
After the zip tie has been pulled and secured, take a knife or pair of scissors to any loose ends to ensure a neat and tidy finish.
